Poem For Cats
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.
Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am...forever and ever and ever.

Zeb is the newest feline member of the Hunter household. He was born in early 2003 and since he was a rescue we don't know the exact date. He picked us when we went to our local animal shelter by gently tapping us with his paw, as if to say "pick me, pick me!" We named him Zebedee which means "Gift from God." Zeb is a very sweet, loving and laid back cat. Nothing seems to bother him. He certainly has been a blessing to us.
Hello, My name is Miata. My mom and dad call me pretty kitty, Miata-Bata-Rata-Dotta-chunky-punky not a monkey and Frincess (that's a special kind of Princess). :o) I was born in July 1989 and was the runt of the litter. I'm a special kitty. My back legs never worked quite right. I never could run and jump and play with my sisters. I just kind of lumbered along as fast as my stiff little legs would carry me. Over time my back became curved and my legs got worse and I was unable to stand up and walk. But that's okay, mom and dad carry me where ever I want to go. If I see a little dab of sunshine, I meow to tell them about it and they will pick me up and carry me to it. If I'm hungry or thirsty, I meow and they come running. My mom and dad love me very much and I love them.
